As you all will probably know i jumped on the L5 wagon at the weekend , i have to say although i paid a fair bit for it i dont care , not in the least , in fact looking at it now , i would have paid even more for it after the day i had with it ,not that it made me vast amounts more money , but it did speed me up a lot , so i guess it did in fact make my time more lucrative.
It was so nice just to have warm hands and a soft reel of hose !

There are a few small things to sort , like the annoying tiny drip that i cant stop on the water inlet , but then am i overly worried about that ?

I do have a couple of Qs though

What settings do you have your dials at ?

And more importantly , when draining down at night i was told to undo the small screw that is recessed , i have done this , i took it right out and a spring followed , i have placed them both back in and all seems well Qs on this are

Does the screw serve any purpose in the way of factory settings , its just that i did it back up and it just went on forever , how far in should it go ?

Think I have read to use either brass or hozel lock pro fittings (the metal ones) on L5, That might cure your drip. I am so tempted to get one.

What's that metal sheet behind the L5 about?  I mean, how does it attach top the tank, and how does the heater attach to the metal sheet?

Have you drained those inlet and outlet hoses, on the L5 if not they will freeze.
The drain plug should screw in hand tight(pinch)

Looks good mate, can you pop round tomorrow and do my windows and show me the benefits of hot water. Had a rough time today with stuff freezing up everywhere!!

I'm glad you put the pics up. I want a box shape tank (400ltr), can't get one without having it made. However, I can get 2 x 210ltr tanks & thought about strapping them together.

i would move that gas bottle if you have a side impact crash the bottle will take a battering  
if the gas bottle goes bang it will be a case of RIP plus dont you need to have stickers displayed on the outside to show emergency services that you a carrying gas i did on my caravan

Chopsie , if you can warrant the spend do it , its a simple fit , and i actually enjoyed being out there today , i havent felt like that since i took the second van off the road , due to muppets !

The metal sheet is the stainless from the other halfs cooker hood , shes gonna go mental , its there as i didnt know what sort of heat the unit kicked out , it was more a case of a tellin off from the wench or melted tanks , its all suspended from a steel frame behind the stainless plate, bolted to the floor and ratchet strapped at the top, done like this for easy removal , if you look in the pics you can see strap between tank lids .

Erith , where should i put it ?
Its gotta go somewhere , preferably against a wall , i might trip over it else , and the stickers are on  the van , you cannot see them as your looking inside the van , anyway them big lorries , i think down here they are called gas taxis , they have all sides lined with all manor of gas , what if they got T boned by an artic , would that be ok ?   

Not havin a pop mate , wasnt my 1st choice of situ , but until i get a longer gas feed thats it !

All i had to buy was the brass fitting set , wickes pro fitting set , £10.21 from wickes 
You will have to buy also a regulator , red in colour , mine was marked at £4.80 , and gas bottle ?

Thats it , heres the brass set , i said mine was leaking , its not the fitting its the thread on the unit , needs some PTFE tape is all .

They have to stay upright,as i found out 
It's special bottles that can be laid on there side with a different regulator.

So ......what about this drain plug then , sounds like i got it wrong by turning the screw inside it , am i just meant to twist it by the knurled brass ?
If so then what have i done by turning the inner screw ?  Help

Andy ,the water is pumped though it , order is TANK , PUMP & FLOW CONTROL , DI , L5 , REEL.
