When i had my DI i had spotting at 005 but it might have been the resin from brodex that was poor.

How is the wfp doing ? Did you lose many on the switchover?

hi danny.ive used it at 009 with no problems.

i ve been wfp for 5 months now and lost 3 customers due to them not liking the pole.ive gained quite a few more because i use wfp though.

the only time i use ladders now is to access a few flat roof jobs and unlocking gates! :D :D

im 80% WFP/20% TRAD.

I CLEAN BETWEEN 20-40% MORE A DAY THAN WHEN I WAS USING LADDERS!!

ITS ONE HELL OF A TOOL FOR CLEANING WINDOWS ONCE YOU GET PAST THE FIRST FEW MONTHS!! ;) :) :)

Are you getting faster then?

When i had that 250DI i switched over at the wrong time of the year looking back when the water iced up as soon as it hit the floor. People were more concerned if it made their pavement slippery than the benifits it had.

If i get another one i will definately spend some money on the set up than getting the basic equipment. I got some good deals on the poles but that was it. Id invest in some fanjets and a microbore reel too.

It occured to me that it may not be ok to clean with anything above zero tds.
If you have advertised, or if you have told your customer that you are using pure water, and then set about the place with 015ppm tds you will have lied. A pedantic trading officer may pick it up one day.

any boffins looked at this??
if it is dirty it is fair game

This sounds like a joke, but i get the impression you are being serious  ??? ???

As long as the windows are cleaned and there is no spotting then what does it matter what the tds reading is?

i spoke to a scientist who is 1 of my customers and he deals with parts per billion and stated anything under 30ppm is naked to the eye. i go upto 20 though before i change and never have any probs

How exactly would a scientist know the effects of pure water drying on glass? Even if he does deal with particles per billion.

And what is a "scientist"?
That`s a very broad term to describe someone.

to be honest i wasnt fully listning coz he dont shut up but id imagine he studies purities etc to know im not a scientist and neither are you..anyway since he said it i use my tds higher than i used to and never get spots or complaints so as gospal i take it as he knows hes stuff. suppliers just want to rip us off saying to change resin so often..its only the suppliers who tell us the recomended change period hey..
