I think you get that in all types of business,had a phone call they other week I didnt want the job (out of my area) when i said it isnt my area she told me that she had rang or spoke to three other window cleaners who were scared to clean her windows in case of come backs she beg me to clean them and said i could them at night I just didnt want the job but i agreed to do them because I didnt want to appear a coward but rang me a couple of days before and said she found someone more local.I think w/c are my territorial on housing estates and the lower price work so they can keep it

Makes sure you teach Muay Thai to your equiptment too, as that could be a potential fly in the ointment if it can't defend itself.

Finally, whenever you see another windy, stop and have a word.  Ask them how their business is.  Be interested in how they work.  If you're WFP and they are trad, ask all the questions you've ever wanted to.  And vice versa.  If you're wfp and they are, talk kit.  Get them to see you as a human being and all you'll get is cooperation.  People don't threaten other human beings; they threaten caricatures (such as "the guy who's going to steal all my business").  Become human to them.

yea there seems to be a bit of it going on there have been some around here i few windy's i know have had it from a chap he is a big boy with a big gob that's it but due to his size he has got away with a few,  the rest of us know him and he don't bother us he seems to pick on a certain type. why they bother is beyond me but it happens around the country.

the window cleaners who threat are all the idiots who are jealouse of other window cleaners makeing it work and doing well. I feel i have a top round and would never give a fellow shiner stick..however when i first started building up i hated seeing other cleaners on the roads i did as i wanted them.

I talk to every shiner i see nowdays and find the miserable rude ones are the ones who charge pennys and finding it hard to cope. Why else would they be so miserable and mean working there own hours and for themselfs with no one to answer too. Just jealouse twats.

well i have 3 customers now and i have his school job lol i told the school i would clean all the doors for free as thats my policy in all my jobs. the school said the last window cleaner they had ( bloke who threatened me ) would just turn up out of the blue and it wouldnt be every month and it would be while kids were in classes, they want the windows done while kids are having dinner then out to play so it doesnt interupt them learning, so i said thats fine with me, i start next week  lol cant wait for him to find out, will be worth watching.

No. What happened there is- Tosh did the school run and some kids came out and took his dinner money and cigs off him.

Well got bad news the school decided they couldnt afford my price after considerable thought, they said they have a caretaker so he can do the windows, WELL GUTTED! i dont think i over priced the job to be honest, i charged what i thought was right by how many windows and how long it would take me. even chucked in 10% discount to land the job!! i blame the goverment for not funding schools enuff lol
