this morning while taking my daughter to school another bloke from my area who is a WC came upto me and said i hear your going into WC?. i said yep need the money and wanna start my own business and he said dont get stealing my custys and under cutting me or there will be trouble. i said what do you mean by trouble then mate and he said well wait and see when you steal my custys. why do people have to be so nasty?? he could of said good luck and enjoy the business but he got all nasty.      i think hes worried now there will be competition

I wouldnt lower your prices to compete with him if he is the type to threaten other W/C then he probably threatens customers not to drop him.In some parts of Manchester they are very territorial but if your on own and no threat,how many houses can a guy possible do 15-30 maybe a day and most towns have 6000+ houses in,I think there is enough for everyone,But I can see why some get upset it takes years to build up a nice round and you can lose your head if you think you going to lose work but in reality that rarely happens.If he threatens you again just tell him your not targeting his type of customers and that you want higher class work

how do u and your dad hitting someone becasue they are on your patch, make it ok,  as what is the difference, as your patch must of been someone else first,

You should come to manchester maybe do a bit of window cleaning round Old Trafford and you will see,I think you maybe a bit naive but some guys dont want competition because they are c$$p and dont want to be showed up for the crooks they really are.And as i read it the other guy was going to attack his son! I believe in that no one has the right to a patch but saying that i am very careful about where I take on new customers.
