70 quid for it. bit pricey is it not
It depends on your idea of 'pricey'.
We are not the cheapest solution, and we don't claim to be. There are plenty of other flow solutions out there that are a lot cheaper, there's even the free method of kinking your hose, but none of them offer the simplicity and give you the productivity that Aqua-dapter offers.
Our equipment has been CAD designed and tested, engineered and subjected to phsyical tests and re-engineered when it does not perform. We've spent nearly two years in the development of this product, bringing it to the standard of what it is now. And we will continue developing it into an even higher quality product.
From a construction point of view, the Aqua-dapter is made from a lightweight aluminium chassis, with stainless steel and wax filled injection molded nylon parts. This wax filled engineering grade plastic self lubricates to keep friction down to a minimum.
You will also appreciate that a tap that works without the common niggles and headaches other methods of flow control have will save time. A correctly controllable tap will also save your water, which in turn will leave you with more in your tank, so you can become more productive throughout the day. More water throughout the day means more jobs within a day, which means it's more of an investment than a cost.

is this type of hose suitable for it ? i have this on my poles at present lite 5 or something it's called
Unfortunately PVC hose will not give you the necessary performance to use Aqua-dapter. We supply our own sourced and adapted Polyurethane hose based on the same hoses used in pnuematic applications. However we use a polyether compound to make the hose completely waterproof.
Our hose, yet extremely flexible, is very strong, and unlike PVC, it doesn't react to heat, in which case it won't soften and stretch. It also reacts far better in cold weather, and will not go hard and crack. Also, whereas PVC is
watertight, it will eventually degrade from contact with water. Our hose carries a three year guarantee.
