Getting access to the commercial sector both large and small contracts, wining them wether you have a porty or a TM is easy. (Providing the price is right)
There are lots of routes, most of it is simple know how that you already do with residential custies.
We were lucky to already have an open door with our commercial work as we were and still is our main course of revenue is Office Cleaning Contractors. From there we moved on to window cleaning and investing in Pure Water technology, using both water fed poles and traditional then onto Carpet cleaning where originally we only did bonneting or shampooing. Now we have several Porties that keep s going daily.
Most of the commercial sector espicially with us is LM, encap and shampooing and not HWE.
From there we now have contracts in Carpet cleaning for small offices to large complexes to schools.
Just go door knocking, introduce yourself and your services to the decision maker.
Purchase leads from a tendering company....
Cold call...
The list and opportunities are endless. Just remember if its a large job you may need some help to carry it out in a reasonable time frame.
Thought I would also add this,
On this forum there are lots of posts about "How do you compete with £10 per room" If you think you will win all the work because you charge a higher Price, just because you believe you are a better carpet cleaner and have a badge like IIRC, NCCA or C.L.E.A.N.
If the price is not right, you wont get the work. Commercial work is more competitive than residential. So its no good thinking that If they want there carpets cleaned for 0.75p psm then they are not the customers for me, you wont get the work
All the best
