I can see there are a number of British patriots on this forum! Those who go out shopping looking for cheapest deals , without thinking that every item of the clothes they wear is manufactured in china, If you were patriots why not go to local Taylor and ask him to make you all of your clothes? Why not buy only locally produced food from local farmers etc, well, well, well, if you all was what you call “patriots” that’s what you would have been doing, but I bet many of you don’t! So when you say things like immigrant exploiting our country for benefits, surely that’s what we are all doing to the other countries? I just can’t believe how shallow you people are, the nation which has exploited people for as long as it’s been going now all of a sudden crying over 2000000 immigrants. If people want to buy foreign goods they do it out of choice, when it comes to immigration we wern't given a choice, most people are completely opposed  to all this immigration for very legitimate reasons, they perceive it as detrimental to they and their families well being.
We were told by Blair that we need immigration or the economy would go down the tubes, well we got immigration and the economy still went down the tubes, the thing is how many big issue sellers or carwashers does this country need.

had some eastern euros give me a quote on my house yesterday (van in garage) quoted me £7 for my 4 bed detatched with consevatory. So I let him do it, took him 1 1/2 hrs paid him by cheque.
When I asked to see his insurance details he shouted something at me, so I told him not to come back.

I presume you're refering to the job vacancies in the immigration dept that the Labour government filled with illegal immigrants. Or the govt quangos that waste billions of pounds of tax payers money, like The Milk Development Council.

Did you know it was estimated in 2005 that there were 529 "useless" quangos that either did very little or duplicated each other. So dont bother talking in riddles about who should fill job vacancies, we need to sort our own corner out before we start marketing ourselves as UK B&B (All foreigners welcome!)

          Wasn`t it the Conservatives, Thatcher in particular, that wanted this country to have a free market economy? This cheap labour is part of the free market concept.
   Thatcher also weakened (if not smashed) the unions. Far fewer immigrants would be getting jobs if the unions had more control.
