iv always used ionics when needed bits n bobs for my machines etc n a few other suppliers, last week i ordered a blue resin di filter as mine had gone brown n wasnt producing pure water, they sent out a new filter that was faulty that the hoselock couldnt connect too the male section on the filter was too short like it had been cleanly snapped as it was smooth, so i rang them n they said they would send out a new one think this was tuesday still waitin today (friday) for it so i rang them they apologised and said it hadnt been sent for sum reason, so iv not had to cancel my work till monday as i cant clean windows till new filter is delivered, compensation they offered...............free delivery next time i order from them!!!! I find this disgraceful im already behind schedule with my work.just thought id share this with you!!
Shame you are not in South East, I learnt to carry spares, and could sell you one if you were down here.

My battery is getting tired, shall I wait untill i'm in the middle of a commercial job for it to give up or shall I buy one this afternoon ready? If I do the first option I suppose Halfords will compensate me if they haven't got any in stock.

Neither
Get a split charge relay and run the engine for a while as you work  ;D

That would surprise me if that were the case as the water would be going through the same number of vessels.  Admittedly the non Ionics DI vessel would probably be larger so it might make a difference.  I've never tried it so can't give a reliable answer.  Maybe see another window cleaner and give it a quick try with their blue vessel to see if the pressure is still OK?  If he lived close by, I would be happy for another window cleaner to hook up my vessel for a few minutes while he was testing it out.  It could save him £££s in the future just for a 5 minute test.  Maybe you might want to try it yourself Steve.  I don't knoiw if it would work or not but a 5 minute test is a small price to pay for such a saving.  OK the system might not look so pretty wired up like that but I doubt that any customers would notice.

Thanks its something I'm looking in to. I'm getting really cheesed of with the DI colour change not lasting longer than about 8-10 weeks tops. At around £80 a pop and with the inevitable rise in VAT it only going to get more expensive. Other than that I'm happy with ionics service i have received. I also know I have no problem with water production as i make my water at 00.1 rising to 00.3

I see you're in Andover and I'm near Gatwick so probably a bit far to test it out with my vessel - though you're welcome to do so if you wish.
I'm assuming you have your RO in the van as well as the colour change DI?  If the RO is not van mounted maybe tack a DI on the end and just use the van tank as a delivery unit?
However it sounds like your RO is in the van.  I imagine that the bit where the colour change container goes can be bridged with a piece of hose and a couple of hoselock fittings (one female and one double male at each end of the hose) and a DI vessel strapped in somewhere OR just strap it in and connect the Ionics fittings to it on either side of the vessel head.  I imagine there must be something to strap a vessel to.  Probably better to use a decent ratchet strap as those vessels can be fairly heavy when full of water.
It sounds like you pay £80 for a colour change vessel.  I don't know how much is in there but maybe half a 25kg bag perhaps?  You can get a full 25kg bag for less than that.  OK, it's a bit more pfaffing around changing the resin and you will need to check the TDS manually from time to time.  You could actually remove the risk of using high TDS water by having two vessels rather than one.  When the water out of vessel 1 equals the TDS of the water going in, you know that the resin is spent.  You would still have vessel 2 to bring it down to 000.  So it would give you a safety margin.
