All the best,
Jason.

Pretend to 'push pull' like you r driving instructor told you and that is good enough reason not to do it!

Pre vac if need be,most of my custys have done the job already before i get there.Sometimes have to get it out and go around the skirting boards or where i have moved furniture
.Most of the end of tenancy work i do the cleaners have been in prior to me so it`s been done ,saving me some time.
I do also say on my website that i do it.Do also say i do a dye bleed test before i start but 9 times out of 10 it`s the same bog standard carpet that i have cleaned 1000 x before
What goes around comes around

Jason,

what a ridiculous comparison!!!

you were taught to drive with your hands on the wheel at 10 to 2   , but after passing the test , what you were taught went out of the window........ hmmm strange if in fact you were making a true comparison . you would be driving your car without any hands on the wheel, therfore no control.

please come up with a better excuse ;)

Geoff
who ever said dont knock before u try ,i never tried dog crap but i know i wouldnt like  haha

Geoff, I was going to say the same thing.  It has always been 10 and 2.  Thats how a steering wheel is made to be held.  Thought a driving instructor would have known this too.

Best, Dave.

Hi Geoff,

I was merely saying that whether its 10 - 2, 9 - 3 or whatever position your hands are supposed to be in when your taught to drive most people dont continue to drive like that for long after they've passed their test.

It was a ridiculous comparison but the underlying message was just because pre-vaccing is essential in the eyes of the ncca and other governing bodies (they have to say that, because the book says so) doesnt mean we all have to do it all of the time.

All the best,
Jason.

Not sure who that was aimed at Dave, but just to let you know. Like most things in life, with driving, there is no ALWAYS and no NEVER, the generally accepted hand position is anywhere between twenty to four and ten to two. This is a fact along with the acceptance of reversing to the left, using mirrors and overlapping of hands while turning or manouvering.

There is a little more detail required to fully qualify the above, but all were confirmed in meetings with DSA examines.
