I am pleased that everthing is clear now.
It is so easy to take things the wrong way replying on a forum.
Over the years I have had written disagreements on the other forum and when I have met up with my supposed adversarys at trade shows etc. we realized that the whole scenario was a misunderstanding.

Hi Wayne
I was writting with regard to matching the price of their wfp systems, which after seeing the specification of their system as I wrote I am more than happy to match.
They now charge the same price as us for a hot water system - they were charging £500 more
Looking forward to fitting your unit next week its in stock waiting for you, we changed the design for our units and the exhaust outlet now comes out directly through the floor in stainless hose, I will supply you FOC a 25 litre steel jerry can with steel cage all nicely fitted.

My cage hasnt been rattled at all.
I am just saying based on their spec I will hapily match the price and be smilling.
The VAT comment is based on the point that if you buy somthing of high value you expect the seller to be registered for VAT, otherwise what long term experiance could they possibly have in their chosen business.

I now the guys at wcs they are not vat registered for a couple of reasons, this is a bonus for people that dont pay VAT. And Glyn, this shows nothing about the compnay, all it means is people that do not pay vat get a result you cant offer

I have to agree with Glyn on the VAT issue.

Any company MUST be registered if it turns over more than £62K per year which in system supplier terms has to be absolute peanuts. I would be seriously worried about buying from a system supplier who isn't registered for the very reasons Glyn has mentioned. Basic accountancy good procedure normally dictates that even a start up company which forecasts reaching the VAT threshold should register from day one.

Just one system or heater a fortnight = £65,000 a year (so now you must register)
lets say the margin is 20%  = £13,000 per year
That wouldnt pay for a small factory unit not including rates and electricity
so how do the wages, insurances, telephone, stationary, tools, machinery  etc etc. get paid?

It just doesnt add up

Completely agree with Glyn.
Lets stop giving him a hard time by nitpicking over the daftest of things.

Omnipole are one of the bigger companies, and it's always appreciated when the likes of Glyn post on the forum.
Of course their systems are relatively expensive. just like some of the other major players their build quality is top notch, they would not be were they now are if this wasn't so.
Some of the newer boys on the block are truly innovative, look at what the likes of Alex Gardiner has done for lightweight poles and brushes.
We are fortunate in that there is something out there no matter the depth of your pocket, all the way down to Matt's DIY forum.

At some point in the future I would love to upgrade to a hot water system, when I do I will no doubt be studying closely what the likes of Omnipole and Ionics can offer me.
Alas, at the moment my idea of a hot water system is a Heath Robertson affair of seeing what will happen if I work out a way of using a household immersion heater :o
Cheap as chips and potentially could give me hot water to start the day,...why spend thousands of pounds if you can DIY  it for 50 quid?
That isn't a serious question by the way, but you get my drift.
If and when I can afford it, I will go for an all singing, all dancing custom fitted system.

Did you look closely at the Omnipole photo?

that Ain't no DIY system!
