What part of Winchester was that in Jay?

I used to do a few bits in Winchester and outlying villages, used to do Avington Park,  they were loaded and lovely with it.

Was it Martyr Worthy manor? I used to do there too, they had a few 'outhouses' in the grounds as well that'd get done.

I have an overflow pipe on my static as mine failed once. Can’t remember now if it was the solenoid or the float. You could fit an overflow to your tank as a failsafe. Maybe add a hozelock & length of hose that trails out the van.

I would never trust a van filling up unattended, if it didnt flood the van a fitting would probably pop off somewhere and flood the garden......

Better with a static tank  setup

Never had it not cut off in over 20 years  if it’s fitted properly there isn’t any  issues

I just forgot on Thursday and I reckon it was flooding my van for around an hour.

It's not an option for me to have a static system.

It  didn't shut off every time so flooded my van on Thursday. This one should work perfectly as its a vertical float valve.

It's not practical to fit it to my tank as I would have to connect and disconnect bullet connectors every time I fill up.

Bit of a bodge init? I assumed you were  actually gonna fix this one in the tank? Basically what you had before. Why change it?

About 20 years ago I used to clean for a wealthy women, she owned 2 flats and a her cottage that she lived in and I used to clean all 3 on the same day.

The flats were £40 and cottage was £25 every 8 weeks anyway I digress , one day I had done the 2 flats and then drove about 2 miles to do her cottage in a very posh area of Winchester.

As I was doing the cottage she approached and asked if I could clean out her gutters, I said that I was too busy that day but I could fit it in time in next time I visit in 8 weeks time and the  cost would be an extra £80.

She looked at me in total shock and replied ...."£80 ?   you're only a window cleaner"
To which I replied ..... what did you say?   I'm only a window cleaner ? then you best find another only window cleaner to clean your gutters and your windows including the flats no one talks to me in that in that manner trying to belittle me"

Needless to say I dumped her on the spot, and yes it may have cost me £65 every 2 months but my pride was more important to me.

I have a 2015 vauxhall with Start/Stop. It has what I call Smart Alternator.
I believe this alternator set up is key to my having this work for me.
I have put the highest cranking ampage battery i could fit under my bonnet.
I have recently turned off in the settings of the digital varistream to cut off if the voltage drops.
I have been using my van battery to power my pump for many years.

I chose the high ampage car battery because it is configured for use in high drain electrics and my alternator is designed to charge a flat or low charge battery quickly.

I have a 100ah leisure battery charged by a Stirling BB1230, (b2b charger) to power my hose reel. It also powers my LED lighting.

I have a 12V Spur from this battery that I have only ever used once 2 weeks ago.
I had to switch to this battery because I had done very little travelling between jobs, working very long days with the flow rate up high.
The digital controller cut out because my van battery had dropped to 11.5 (it's cut off point).
I got power from the leisure Spur.
This lasted 3 days before the reel started going slowly, so I swapped it back to you van battery.
It was at this point I found out you can cancel the battery monitor on the controller, which I did.
So now I expect to never have a problem ever again where I can't get power to my pump from somewhere.
