A little bit of biology apparently the trails are microscopicly  directional  like a zip tie pointing in a direction the snail travels  this stoops the creature from sliding backwards if you figure this out then brush downwards is point less so brush from the bottom up
What I never get is how come we never see them on the glass   Bit like dead pidgins
so we can never get revenge in the little slimy swine

They seem much easier to remove with a new brush I find.

Once did a gutter clear on a bungalow in the middle of a dry summer. Used the vac and it was a nightmare, dust everywhere. Ended up just using the ladder and it was quicker and far easier. Today I cleared one with grass growing out of the full length of back gutter. The customers were saying that it will be hard with all the grass in it. I told them it will be fairly easy because its been so hot it will have shrunk. The moment I got hold of a big clump the whole lot nearly came out. They were pretty upset that I made it look so easy because nothing was holding the roots in place and it was dry as a bone. I reckon it would have took me three times longer with the vac.

This post is like farting in a lift...it's wrong on so many levels!

I wonder where these snails are going?
Turn water off, clean in the direction of the trail...easy peasy!

I think the answer depends on your work - if its small stuff then a reel on the m/c or trolley would be convienient
My vans have bolted down m/c's and reels in the van we carry as standard 2 x 100 h/p hose
and 200 meters of 3/4 water feed hose

never had to go through a house yet - there is usually an alley at the rear for access

Gave this some thought today while out cleaning - I use my gloved hand 90% of the time. Wet window, rub glass, wash glass the way I described above.

As said second hand gear 1k tops and hope it lasts

Much better out there and crucially better looked after

Best to post this in the window cleaning forum - if that's what it's for...

I didn't make an offer in the end, but asked what's the lowest he would take.

£4k, VAT inclusive. I guess that is a bargain?

I'd  say its about right. The gear isn't worth more than a grand imo.
