You can now take payment by tapping cards on your Android phone.   No more waiting for your reader to pick up a signal 🤣

I think I'll be using quickbooks alongside CP. Its £16 a month but I'm gonna sack off my FSB membership when it runs out in February as it offers nothing to my business.

I'm gonna start it in April 2026 a full year before it becomes mandatory so I'll be familiar with it.

Yea good idea using 2026 to get some practice in to get you organised.

But if you're using CP,  you don't need QBs, it's just duplicating your admin work load and costs.  QB is great for folk who don't use anything else.    So your best bet would to go down the Bridging Software route.   £19 a year beats £16 a month 🤣.

I made the mistake of forgetting to take my large bottle of water with me on Monday.

As we are aware it was a really hot day.    I had a very large property to do first thing, very rural out in the sticks with nothing else around .  The job takes 3 hours to do.

I am surprised how many customers never bother to offer a drink particularly in this dangerous heat including this one.  He treats his dogs better.

I approached the customer who was wondering about his land to ask politely if I could have a glass of water.   He snoberly said NO and walked off.  I was gob smacked and plodded on dehydrated and flaked out.  I was tempted to just pack up and go, but I would have lost out on the work I had already done.

Should I dump or keep?  Remember it's a big contract.  What would you do?

( Oh, and I don't like to risk drinking from my water tank either)

Remember your water bottle next time!😄👍

No point cutting your nose off to spite your face if the jobs well paid...

Customers can be strange.....
