Isn't the BWCA tied into ionics? I've never been on one of their courses but I have been told that they are little more than a thinly veiled sales routine for ionics products that you have to pay the privilege of sitting through? Please correct me if I'm wrong,.. just repeating 3rd hand info here,....
Regardless of that,.. ANY organisation that aims to make our industry more professional is a good thing. If it takes a sales routine to make it profitable, so be it, it's still a good thing.
The Guild is a lot smaller, but far from pointless. In a couple of years it will be a serious contender for top spot,.. at the moment its still in its infancy and I will admit it is more of a marketing tool for its members than anything else. It is an effective marketing tool though, many members listings on the Guild website rank very high in Google and have brought them in work,... I've yet to google a window cleaning company and have their info pop up from the BWCA or NFMWC websites.
