protecting an outside stored ro ?
« on: April 21, 2010, 11:28:31 pm »
Due to the layout of my new house, I'm having to keep my RO outside.

How best can I protect it from the elements and have easy access to change resin ?
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

u could box it in and use foam insulation to keep the cold out, and just put a door on it

My RO has been living outside for about 4 years, though in Winter I do take it in during the night so it doesn't freeze up.

No problems with it!

I have done this for five years. The box is ply and the lining is polystyrene. I also put a small low wattage heater in it for frost protection.
It's a game of three halves!
