brodex after sales service
« on: April 21, 2010, 03:55:32 pm »
I have dealt with many companies in the 15 years I have been in the cleaning industry, but have never come across a company as bad as Brodex.
I have found their after sales service to be non existant and If you have a problem with equipment they have supplied...forget it, they just dont want to know.
We bought a 60ft carbon light pole and have had nothing but trouble with it, splintering and cracking around the joins and they promised me that they would replace the top 5 sections 3 months ago and as to todays date and about 6 or 7 phone calls and as many emails, we still have not received anything.
I warn anyone out there who is is thinking of ordering from Brodex...be prepared for loads of hassle if something goes wrong.

Despite there poor reputation I was tempted by the Hydra Alloy Poles with the 3 year guarantee but then I looked into the terms and conditions.........................

"Water Fed Poles, 12-36 months manufacturing defects. Does not cover wear and tear, accidental damage, or any goods modified by user".

It appears that the 3 year guarantee is next to useless - I don't need 3 years to see if it's been made badly. Also I'm pretty sure most users change the brush head and pole hose when they buy them - I know I would, so that's your guarantee void!

I've always known this, not much chance of having a valid claim ::)

I emailed them with 3 specific questions about their carbonlight pole & got no reply. So went with my gut instinct & got the Gardiner Super-lite pole. Wise decision me thinks. :)

i dont understand why they dont take this on board and get sumone in to deal with it surely they must get on to there customer feedback, they build quite good products and a little extra customer care could make them all the difference to being one of the top suppliers, i cant comment on there systems but iv had a couple of poles and they are good quality.

Bought 3 poles from them, all had issues of some description and been replaced with no quibble and quickly too. Maybe I just got lucky?

I have 2 ha2 alloy poles, and think they are fantastic value for money. The 18ft is light enough and robust enough for even someone as clumsy as me.

It seems that because the majority of products on the market are not purpose built for our business, merely adapted to do a job, that all suppliers suffer from a bad reputation.

It is staggering that no1 has actually come up with a pole that is lightweight, good clamps, non-spinning, wear resistant....oh the holy grail!! Bike seat clamps and fishing poles and bits of tube and araldite...seems thats our lot!
