im thinkinf of turning my machine into lpg (liquid petroleum gas). its mainly for less fumes as my pressure washer stays in the van and the smell of the fumes lingers in my cab. it will also lower fuel costs. does anyone have any advice about it?

yes either take it out , or if you really insist on keeping it in the van, why not exaust the fumes out of the van using a flexi exaust pipe.

i know mate. not only will it save you money you will be breathing less monoxide in whilst working near to machine and when switching off etc. the long term affects of breathing in fumes even outdoors are lung cancer.

is your machine bolted into the van? or is it portable.

if you convert it then the machine will have to stay in the van next to the fuel tank, the cost also is not worth it.

as for the fumes go live in a forest under the trees, you breath in more fumes from passing traffic through your normal life than you'll get from your machine.

I've honestly never been bothered by the fumes on any of the pressure washers I've used. Have you tried hiring one out to see if its just your machine giving off more than normal fumes? Maybe you're just sensitive to it,.. but if it is just your machine then switching to LPG might not help much!

the machine is chained down inside so the fumes get into the cab. maybe i need to check the filters etc. it gives off a strong smell in the cab and i get wheezy.  just because you cant smell them does not mean your not breathing them in. carbon monoxide can not hardly be smelt.

It is said carbon monoxide poisoning is the best way to die ! you don't know its happening, creates a feeling of euphoria and creeps up on you gradually. It is heavier than air and should just fall out the door so unless your crawling along the ground sneaking up on the machine you should be alright - just keep taking deep breaths.

Don't convert the pressure washer to LPG i have seen it done on other cleaning equipment that uses similar Honda engines. They are so unreliable. Not much help i know!!!

Why are the converted machines unreliable ? Would it not be the oppo's doing things wrong
