supalite brush
« on: April 14, 2010, 07:49:49 pm »
hi
i,ve got the original gardiners supalite brush , mono-dual trim, really like it, had since they started selling them,

just bought another, expecting it to be like the one i've already got, but it is different, the main difference is the brissels are quite splayed , and stiffer,
prefer the old one ,
also it feels horrible on leaded- bumps all over the place,

not writing it of yet though , maybe i need more time to get used to it , after using the other one for so long.

any one on here have the original , and the latest one, what are your views on this

i haven't got the new one but do have the old one.........with regards
to the lead windows try angling the brush down slightly, i use a vikan mono as my main brush and used to have to swap to an ionics dual for leaded but found that angling the vikan down slightly stops the bumping about.

It happened to me too mate. The new brush will "break in" after a bit of use. I didn't like it at first either, now I prefere it to the old one. ;)

The new one is splayed wider, feels very different but makes it much more stable at height.

When I got mine it seemed to drag on the glass and my arms felt really tired. Few days later and I forgot all about it.

I take a can of spinach to work everyday, no tired arms anymore! ;)

I prefer the old ones especially on Georgian windows. Really don't like the new version with the splayed bristles. If anyone has the old version brush in good condition and wants to sell one to me tel: 07518 896433 and I'll buy it off you.
