Rippling
« on: April 14, 2010, 12:12:01 pm »
Did a carpet today  beige 80/20 with a plastic secondary backing i was surprised to see it started to ripple in one corner of the room i was careful not to over wet and also did loads of dry passes.
when i have looked at previous posts on the subject the consensus of opininion was that sculptured  and Nylon carpets are prone but i was surprised to see this happen with this carpet.
It is very alarming to see and i hope that it does go back i reasured the customer and explained that once it was fully dry it would return, so fingers crossed she does not phone :-\

"Don't panick Mr Manwering!"  ;D

It will go back, I did one last year that took a week to settle back down and it was dried using plenty of dry passing and a whole room air mover :) I informed the custy that the carpet would benefit from being stretched and to avoid dragging furniture without glides in future!
