I had exactly the same van (but 2001) for 5.5 years Daz. It never gave me any bother mate in all that time, very good vans- APART FROM the KEYS!!!!

They are chipped & synched to the ignition barrel + immobilizer. Make sure you have TWO working keys, if not get another one sorted so that you do. This is why I had to get rid (towed away) in the end. It can be very, very expensive if these go wrong to the extent that it's a main dealer job!!

You can get roof bars from Halfords for it. The payload is 665KG. Mine carried a 400ltr twin DI van mount + all trad gear no probs (although, probably on or just over limit when full).

Unless you plan to constantly have water splashing about in the back I wouldn't bother with protektakote, just ply the floor & seal it. I lifted the old (original) ply about two years ago & the metal floor under it was still like new, no rust, bubbles or anything. ;)

Good luck.

daz i just used a few bungies for a pole rack inside the van across the roof at front and back, as for the floor on my old van i made do with a coat of waterproof paint and a rubber mat. i think your payload is 665 kg which is plenty for a trolley system

Deffo mate. So long as you have ONE key a clone can be made & this doesn't have to be from a main dealer so it's much cheaper BUT this key won't work the central locking.

You can easily reprogram your existing key to work the remote locking, do a quick google on it. ;)

I have one of these.  Just had a new key cut for one of my lads that uses it,,,£30.00 :o , and its not even the central locking one. Very good van though. Just keep on top of the oil changes. And DEF get the cam belt done.
