A subject abroached not so long ago...i think the census was white vinegar as bleach could wick up the tassles on to the rug itself.

When using an oxidising Bleach on rug tassels/fringes Prespray the edges of the pile
fibres with an acidic rinse then any "bleach" that wicks back will be neutralised.

You have to remember that a lot of tassles are cream and not white, they are often not meant to be bleached or whitened, its when you play with them that you generally get a problem.
As above usual shampoo clean and rinse with Acetic acid (white vinegar).

Derek I haven't got the time, I've got work coming out of my ears!! I can only do videos when the subject arises on an actual job & I've got the camera in the van.
I prespray with white vinegar then brush out flat but laid on silver foil so the tassel doesn't touch the carpet while drying

Also if you don't use the right tool the tassles can unwind as they go up the vac slot and go into knots.
So use a tool which holds them tight to floor example: dri master tool.
Good luck Paul
