Hi Daniel,

It depends on how much equipment you have to put in (safety & machines), what your paying your staff, what your overheads are (chemicals/ cloths/ insurance/ running costs)and what profit you want and of course, how much you want the job.

To be honest, you would probably get away with £20hr per person, I have overpriced many builders cleans, purely because we didn’t want the work and what happens, we end up getting it.

Hi Andrew
Im gonna take 3 ind hoovers up(ours),for ins, chems, cloths etc prob around a couple of hundred quid, and £7ph each wages, thats around £600 overheads and leaves me around £800 profit hopefully, dont like doing builders cleans and they can take forever to pay sometimes but the money can be good.

Hi Again Daniel

I agree about builders cleans being a pain in the rear and about the waiting for payment.

Not a bad profit margin, just watch out for any damaged areas prior to the clean and report them, wouldn't want you getting lumbered with a damages bill, especially if your staff havn't caused it.

Hi paul
Its around 300 sq ft,its for a large bank in a big office block, not on a high street, around 8 counters, loads of windows, 6 toilets,we cant start till 7am next thur and the builders need to hand it over by 9am fri mornin so gonna take 6 of us up try and make sure we get it done by fri and do a good job as the builders mentioned they have another for us to do a couple miles away.
