Hello Colin

Carpet glue is normally 'rubberised' and we would expect it to roll off if gently rubbed backwards and forwards.

As you say it is on white leather I am assuming it is a pigment/protected leather so if the above doesn't work a mild solvent cleaner (we use alcohol cleaner) may do the job but test carefully prior to doing the job.

If you see any evidence of colour coming off then you should not proceed as you will get involved in re-colouring and refinishing which I am assuming you do not know about at the moment.  If this is the case call a leather technician.

Hope this helps.

If the glue is F3 then warm soap solution should move it. If it was spray adhesive then a solvent will be required. If it was F44 acrylic then warm soap solution again. Hope this helps.

Before rubbing try heating with a hair dryer, but again be careful.
