It will be more than likely the grease, try using more detergent in the bucket.
What detergent do you use?

Daz use some Ubick 2000 (is designed for kitchens) mate works a treat on grease.

Used it on a few times on windows that someone threw kebabs at!!

Just spray on the glass leave to soak for 5 mins then soap up and squeege.

Make sure you use a different bucket and washer and squeegie just for that job, dont use your everday stuff, you will contaminate it all with grease

I had one a few tears ago. Did them inside and out every 2 weeks. The windows were no problem at all, and the owners were greatl. I even used to get a free pie and chips, and ate them in the shop at the couner while sitting on a stool. Really happy days.

It all changed when they retired and sold to an Asian gentleman. He changed the layout so that the oven was right next to the windows, and to clean them I had to stand over the oven, while food was being cooked on it.

There was a small top opening window away from the cooking area which was covered in chip fat oil ON THE OUTSIDE ONLY. It took 20 minutes to scrape off the first time. I pointed it out to the new owner, who wasn't the slightest bit interested. Two weeks later the same window was similarly covered (again only on the outside). The response was similarly apathetic. Methinks the oil was smeared over the window deliberately, so ...  dropped  ;D

A couple of schools that we do, the kitchen windows are always really bad. So we just wipe over the glass a heavy duty kitchen degreaser on a car sponge, blade off, then just mop as normal and blade. Always come up a treat.

I use Mr Muscle spray first, if they're really stubborn marks, I wipe them with the sill cloth before doing them as normal.

I'm with SAJ on this one; UBIK is the way to go; brilliant stuff. We used to use it to clean the inside of pubs when smoking was allowed and it worked a treat for that too. A 5L bottle will last ages.
Come and talk dirty to us!!!
