WFP and leaded window problems

I have an estate where I do a few houses with upvc leaded windows. Using wfp, I have noticed that some of the lead on the windows is losing it's adhesive and is slowly peeling off the windows. Those I do traditionally are not showing this problem. Now obviously this is a bit worrying in that I think I might end up with the blame for the damage.

Is it the wfp? Anyone else experienced this?

yes m8 i have. its just 1 of those things m8, nothin u can do about it.
im now wfp, but caused more damage when i was trad, as my scrims would catch
on the stick on cheep lead.
NO IM NOT STARTIN TRAD V WFP  ::)

I guess it is the amount of water running over the glass.

Funny thing is I have caused more damage with wfp than trad.

NO MORE WFP V TRAD EITHER!  ;D

WFP will not damage the lead, its the cheap glue they use.
I caused more damage when I use to rag and polish the leaded.

Oh, definitely the glue and not the lead, Matt. Just wondered if any other cleaners had noticed problems. I trad other windows and have never had a problem like this, just on the ones I use wfp.

Ive had similar problems its the action of the brush that eventually loosens the cheap stick on lead beading however trad cleaning poses similar probs with scrims catching rough lead. I now tell all custys the pitfalls of the leaded glass what may happen and cant b held responsible. Most people accept, never had anyone trying to charge me 4 replacement

rather than scrubbing up and down work from the top as usual but move the brush left to right works a lot better than scrubbing as normal this way the bristles won't catch the lead as much

Good idea. Now I am aware of the problem, I will do this in the future.
