I was drawn to this story by an article in the 27/3 paper copy of The Argus which covers much of Sussex.
Although I don't see it online, the recent article states that he is now a qualified web designer and is living with his family again in a more suitable house for his disability.
I also note his insurance did not pay out due to having the "wrong type" of insurance.
They're always eager to take the money though aren't they?

Looks like he is starting to pick up the pieces.

I make no other comment.  This wasn't posted as an H & S type posting nor was it intended as a rant against ladders.  I just posted it for the more human side of the story that we often don't hear about after the initial accident.

typical insurance companys, take your money and refuse to pay out


i have read the story and it seems he was insured for employees and not him self as he owned the business,  how many on here have the same insurance and think they are covered,


i take it you need special insurance to use a ladder then?  as i have naver seen this advertised as a perk before

Because that is what he's done fifty times a day for years and thought it could never happen to him ...

sadly this happens dozens of times a year and as all accidents are preventable, a sad, sad story
