This may shock some people....approx £1400 a month thats not including  the wages for my 3 lads or my wage at the end of the month.

It shocks me everytime i calculate it.

sort of part time, work 3 days a week,  i use my van for other things but work pays all the fuel its about 50 a week, i also run all my water through work,   so thats why it might seem high,  i am on a meter in cornwall, and we got the most expensive water in england,  even before i became a wc, the water bill was 60 a month

 :o :o :o

ow much, what kind of mileage are you doing, my navara costs waaaaay less than that usually doing 20-30 miles a day.

i was getting 550miles out of about 70ltr tank, then it went down to about 500 miles. then i changed the fuel filter and its gone back up. so will changed that yearly from now on myself. (got a feeling the garage never changed it in 2 yrs!) so thats about 1000 miles a month,, i thought that was good mpg for having a 650 ltr tank?
fiat scudo 2006 it is.

yeah my accountant checked your not allowed food on your expenses, but he also said you can claim for anything, its only if they investigate you and find discrepancies that your in trouble.

i wonder if can claim for my water, im not on a meter, but use 1000's ltrs a week ?
might stick it on anyway

you should be able to claim a percentage of your water rates

If you are on a metre you can claim the water charges against tax.
I can't believe people on here are moaning about paying out for expenses!
its a business for god sake not a job as an employee!!
my running costs are around the £400-£500 per month! and I havent got a full round yet!

I just take it on the chin, its part and parcel of having a business.

YWCS also you can claim for meals for you and your client if you are having a "business lunch/meal"
My accountant managed to claim it last year and the year before.
