Dont bother with a metal one, waste of money...and time.

Go into local gardeing shop or whatever and get a hoselock real. Ive just got a nice one today in fact, 60m of garden hose which ill use in the garden. Nice reel, loads of attacments, car brush sprinkler etc etc £20

Yes get the hose seperatly, and get one of these from gardiners, or where ever

Inside the real is where you would connect the hose, so put a short bit of garden hose on it, then a normal hoselock and then click the thing in in the picture. This way to, if you reel is right out and you have to move van or whatever you can un clip the hose dead easy instead or reeling it all back in. Id also go with 6mm hose, nice to use and being thinner fits on real nicer.

Hi mate.

For 60 metres of 8mm I would recommend Mini Hose Trolley from CleaningSpot.

See special offer at http://cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/special_offer.html

GBP 22.33 (Inc VAT) - not bad choice.

If you get a plastic cheepo one, best buy a mop as well as you'll need it when it starts leaking everywhere.
I initially got a plastic one thinking I'd save money, few months later when bits drop off, connectors leak, I wish I hadn't wasted my time/money :(

Got a metal one and everything fine now for the last few years :)

get the cartridge type, it stops the hose jumping over the rim of the open type and tangling up when winding in at speed. Also consider 6mm OD - more on the same reel and lighter with less water.

if you do by a hozelock reel, make sure its bolted into the van. My last reel wasnt and i ended up shattering the handle when it fell out the van while i was pulling the hose out. Other than that its a great buy, and my 60m hovelock reel fits 110m of microbore, just.
