What battery for a diy trolley set up?
« on: March 21, 2010, 03:37:53 pm »
I'm looking to get a trolley system going and being a tight arse I'm going to make my own.I've already got a 100psi shurflo pump and varistream but the leisure battery I've got is chunky to say the least. Can anyone recommend one that is ideal for a trolley? Thanks.

Most have a 24-28 ah battery, you will also need a4amp intelligent charger.  About 60.00 for both.

.I was chatting with one of the guys from WcW at Windex and complained about the weight of the battery and asked if a backpack battery would not be better he said the problem was that a 110 psi pump drew much more power than a35 psi B.P pump. That the smaller battery would not last a day.The 10 quid ones are for a B/P.

Are you basing your trolley on a sack truck? If so you can mount a box to fit on the axle, this is what I have and use an 85 amp hour leisure battery.
By placing the battery there you have it between the wheels, the best possible place to keep it balanced.
