SORRY ABOUT THE NAME
« on: March 20, 2010, 11:52:28 pm »
When i put the post on re VAN INSURANCE i did not expect to see a so called fellow CC come back at me with what i can only describe as an offensive post. I think you know who i mean TONY. Just for the record i have been a CC for over 16 yrs, and been a member of this site since 2005. I would add that my mother was allso a RImmer before she married. Now Tony perhaps you could tell us all what you find so funny about the name. Must say that i have gone through 60yrs without anyone criticiseing it before.
So come on dont be SHY tell us why, or maybe you would just like to apologise.

You use words like "offensive post and criticizing", all i see is a smiley.
It may be you are a little over-sensitive!
I think he is smiling at the word rimmer, which has rude connotations,
that i will not go into any further on a family forum. ;)

John, it looks like the post has been removed either by the writer or a moderator, unfortunately humour doesn't come across in the light hearted way it is intended on these sorts of forums

hi guys, the post is still there from what i can see and no one flagged it so i am assuming it was the post with just the name and a smiley?

dont think it was meant to be really offensive and i am sure Tony doesnt mean real harm with it!

just report any posts that are out of order guys - we are taking them on board!!

Just for the record... A Rimmer can be known as several things:

1.An implement for cutting, trimming, or ornamenting the rim of anything, as the edges of pies, etc.; also, a reamer.
2.One who performs oral sex on the anus of his/her partner.
See also rim, rim-job.
3.A mixture of confections, spices, and/or salts applied to the rim of a beverage glass or mug.
