Tap water will clog up your iron and stop it steaming. This applies to kettles and coffee machines and also fish tanks.I also drink it with orange squash as it better tasting and the tea is better aswell.

I have a custie that likes a few litres for their steam cleaner. They have an older dog and use the cleaner quite a lot. As someone has said, you will get a well deserved reputation in the area that may lead to extra work.

wouldn't use it in fish tanks unless you add essential minerals.

Are you drinking the water from before or after the resin.  The reason I ask is that some time back I recall a post from a member of one of the forums who became ill after drinking water while out on his round.

The water had been through his resin beds.

Although we get a zero reading after the resin I do worry that the resin might cause the water to be unfit for human consumption.

However, providing filters have been changed regularly etc, i would have thought it safe to drinker after the R.O. unit and before the resin.  This would be similar or perhaps even the same as water produced by a domestic water filtration unit.

Any update on this?

I supply several of my customers with water for their ironing. Its all part of the service.

On the subject of drinking the water -DO NOT. The water may be chemically pure but it is not sterile.

I use pure water in my fish tank, and I've never had any problems with my fish (cold water fish).

I used to have a custie that had water of me all the time for his photography hobby, he used it for developing his photos, but then switched over to digital.

You can buy pure water, from aquarium shops, for marine fish tanks

Has this water been through resin filters?  I have a customer asking me for a 25 litre for his fish but I'm wary of what to give him.  ie.  before or after resin?
