Got a call from a new custy today to price up a large bungalow. Once i gave her the price she asked do you do the sills? i replied of course i do . My question is dosent everybody wipe the sills down when theyve finished?

know some will just run the mop across after, to just tidy up the dirty water.

i like to wipe them clean with a microwipe.

i think most will tidy up the sills - alot of elderly customers will always ask that question.

got one old lady that asks that every time - been on my round for 5 yrs!

yea and the frames,  its easier,  i know of a few wc that only do windows weather they are wfp or trad

ive always done them at no extra charge. maybe thats the bit extra the got me

A window, to my mind, is the whole thing; glass, frame and sill, so yes of course we do.

Christ, what next, just do the sills as they're quicker than the glass

used 2 ave steveo  sold the round up about 8years ago, broke it down in2 4rounds
now ive only got about 109, but its enough 4me 2deal with at the mo

yep sills always!frames?on some better priced work yes.i will do all frames on all my custys houses when i go wfp though.

I clean sills, frames and plastic doors. The price I quote includes these.

When you say wipe them off do you mean clean them or wipe them off dry??

I presume you don't wipe the sill dry??  If so how do you wipe the top sills?

i USED 2wipe them with a scrim  as 4 the top sills.... up the ladder.... how else

first time i clean the lot, sills/frames ,then flick a rag over them each time to keep them looking good.  hardly anybody ever mentions my efforts on the frames ,but i feel they must notice the shine .  

way i look at it , its a very competitive game now and i dont want them to have any reason to drop me  for another guy

around here a lot are very dirty,and the clean ones are still clean when the water dries

Do you know for years I would never clean a sill, just left them to dry without thought. Now I cant do it, it's like OCD.  I just have to wipe clean every sill I come across and leave them all shiny like. Funny that
