Had a tub of it for years, only used it a couple of times, going to need it next week, and was just wondering if it goes off,it`s been in a sealed tub,but it`s gone into a block, rather than being powder, will it till work if i crunch it back up again ?

It should be fine just caked as its absorbed moisture.

Hi Mark,
If the during storage the air gets to oxibrite then it will not work.
It is my opinion that because it is a solid lump then air/moisture has got into
the container.
Sorry to mention the obvious but did you ask Prochem?
Could I suggest you test it to see if it bubbles up when you mix it with very hot water.

Wayne oxibrite is sold by prochem if you visit there website you will get more info
Oxibrite is a oxidising agent additive which can be used on carpet & fabric to brighten light colours and aid in removing tea & coffe, jute & cellulosic browning stains & water marks.
CAUTION TEST FOR COLOUR FASTNESS
If you mix some up in warm/hot water and apply the foam it can bleach the stain
also good for rug fringes but make sure you acid rinse after on this
once opened store upside down to reduce the air getting in and making it into a solid block
Hope this helps steve

Hi Guys
Yes , it does 'go off'
It is sodium percarbonate which when mixed with water will give hydrogen peroxide and sodium carbonate.
It is has got damp then some of it's hydrogen peroxide will have been released making it less effective.
I would smash the lump and use some from the innner part which should be less oxidised.
In summary oxibrite is an oxidising bleach with hydrogen peroxide as it active ingredient.
Cheers
Doug

Is the stuff much use for removing (or bleaching) urine stains on light carpet, and what concentration would be best? I've just had a few yellow stains recently that havent come out, some on synthetic carpets.
