[Jays Window Cleaning]

A guy come uo to me whilst cleaning yesterday and asked me how much i charge. I told him i would come along and price it later in the evening. Then he said to me he already has a window cleaner so i said how comes yor asking me for a price? (As i dont undercut or take other wc work) Becasuse i need the window above my con done it aint been done for 7 years as my wc cant get to it. So i said ok i will have a look .
So i went and had a look turns out he wants the whole house and con done. Gave him a price and he said yeah great and  arranged a day to do them. He then said to me i will  have you clean my windows every 4 weeks and my wc clean them every four weeks which i thought was very odd. So i explained that it will effect my cleaning if the other guy is using soap as i am wfp.  He then turned round and said dont worry the other wc dont use soap . What does he use then i said. Rags only he says. Now i dont put anyones work down un less it really is bad. But the windows glass and frames were filthy. The other wc is gonna be well shocked after ive done it.  Any one else come across this befor? 2 different window cleaners doing one house every 4 weeks on different days .

yes and when i asked why he said his wife has ocd and if he didnt have two window cleaners she would have him out doing them if he had asked at the time i would have happily done them fortnightly : i also do a conservatory that another window cleaner doesnt do :

i picked up a job from another window cleaner who doesnt do gutters, anyway he does the con roof and someone else does the windows

ive had that, the reason y is cause the custy didnt have the heart 2get shot of the other windy
so i just never went bk, that made the decision 4her

i had one the other day moaning at me for cleaning the windows as the other wc only came 2 dasy earlier, so i said i will drop you and you can stay on his list, he a crap wc and leave loads of marks,  makes my job harder

I had this happen too years ago.  She was a real odd one and eventually refused to pay me because she reckoned I wasn't owed.  It wasn't until a few months later that I got chatting with another W/c who had also been cleanbing there quite a while.  I already knew him quite well.  When I told him she didn't pay he dumped her LOL.  About a year later I was cleaning across the road when she asked me to clean for her.  I poiint blank refused, told her why, and she totally denied that she had never paid me.  Not elderly either so presumably not alzheimers.  My suspicion is that she was on medication and it confused her.

I do 2 windows on a house that the other window cleaner with ladders cant reach, still to meet him at the same time yet

thats the part im looking forward too. All the wfp wc i know i am friends with but the trad guys dont say much to me and i am picking up work from some trad cleaners as there work isnt up to scratch. Im gonna wait and see what happens after he first clean. And weather it stays regular.

I do 2 windows above a conny that this womans regular cleaner cannot do,she don't want to get rid of him as he is a family friend,said i don't mind doing just them 2,it only takes a few mins,and hopefully lead to some other work

yeah i have to do the tops of a pub as the other chap only has half a ladder and two scrims - cowboy!

but he spends all his money in this pub and is a major regular, so they wont get rid of him.

i dont mind as he charges £8 for a whole pub in and out. just wipes them with his two scrims - looks v bad.

tops look great tho  and i charge £13.00 for three windows.
