In another thread, one member states that another member isn't a window cleaner, but a water fed pole operative.

So what IS a window cleaner?

A window cleaner is someone who cleans windows regardless of what methods all tools that are used still clean windows so it`s just a choice of what each and every individuals chooses to use

But what is a window cleaner?........er, methinks our title says it all, a window cleaner is someone who...er...well, cleans windows! :

Although I will loftily claim to any Luddite that might enquire, that I am a "Visual Clarification Specialist"
Or is someone I think is snobby and up their own proverbial rear ends asks what line I am in, then I will inform them that I am in the business of visual clarification...


Apparently people who work in large company's accounts departments now like to call themselves; "Human Resources officers".....wonder if that comes with a badge??

i use ladders/extension poles/squeegys/scrims/microfibres etc.

IM A PROPER WINDOW CLEANER!!

WFP guys are just scared of heights and cant clean windows good enough or fast enough trad so they have to spend thousands on a wet brush/pole/system and still end up doing a crap job then they come on ere moaning theyve lost ANOTHER customer!!

Hey dazmond +1 on the wind up  i was also at 16 years of ladders abuse before i went WFP and now 6 years on best thing i ever did for my business i still do loads of trad but no ladder work

I guess logically, & regardless of which method you use, IF the window is 0.01% cleaner than it was before you set to work on it, then it is cleaner, & you are therefore a window cleaner, lol

That should please the less fussy ones amongst you.

I don`t do wfp tops/trad bottoms,when i use wfp it`s on every window on the job i`m on i do a lot of commercial work and do a lot of trad internal and just the odd trad external

what is a window cleaner.....some one who cleans windows..

ian well said well a window cleaner is a chappie who turns up at your property and makes those windows sparkle again if the custie is happy with the service i can safely say that you are a windowcleaner regardless how you do it so lets get a grip on this thread and stop banging about trad or wfp
