thats strange because i always get houses that arent happy with ladder monkeys and want a window cleaner that cleans the moden way and leave windows cleaner for longer with pure water and not with ladders and fairy liquid thatlook a mess after a day or 2 when it rains.
Every customer i speak to loves the pure water! ;D

got the chop of one customer because her son is going to valet the wfp cleaners car for every 3 cleans, talking to him yesterday he wasnt bothered about taking my job,but i stayed cool and didnt mention the 7 jobs on his round  ive picked up because the customers dont like wfp   ;D ;D

Fantastic, Lol. ;D

Just been to see my business adviser this afternoon and to my surprise she told me that at the end of next month its going to be law that all window cleaners need to have a water fed pole system. Does anyone know anything about this?

Of course you could always ask her where she got it from ...  ::)

YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER ...

Windy One: I love my wfp - I earn more, feel less tired at the end of the day and I won't fall off a ladder - you really should try it!

Windy Two: Nah - not for me - wfp is rubbish!

Windy One: No it's not - I can do 3 houses in the time I would have taken to do 2 when I was trad and I do the cills and frames at the same time too. My customers love it.

Windy Two: Nah - not for me - my custy's wouldn't like it - all that water dripping down their walls.

Windy One: You've got to prepare them of course and that can be a bit frightening - just explain that insurance and health and safety and commercial customers are driving you this way - surely you can tell your customers that climbing a ladder 100 times a day is putting your life at risk - they wouldn't want you to do that would they if there is a viable alternative? And their windows and frames will really shine when you've mastered it. I'll show you how if you like.

Windy Two: Nah - not for me - I never have accidents. In fact I took a custy off of a wfp operator cuz it's rubbish.

Windy One: It's true that there are poor wfp operators just as there are poor traditional cleaners - but you want to do the best for your custy don't you? You want to get those windows above the conservatories and those rooflights and those windows over porches?

Windy Two: Nah - not for me I love the skill of trad cleaning.

Windy One: But if I can show you a way to do your job in two thirds of the time or earning a third more and you'll provide better for your loved ones and have more chance of being around to see them then surely it's worth doing?

Windy Two: Nah - not for me it's too expensive to set up ...

Windy One: I used to think like that but for less than a grand you can build your own system and put it in a trailer behind your car.

Windy Two: Nah - not for me, I don't like wfp it does a bad job.

Windy One: Well I have experience of both wfp and trad and I've made wfp work to my and my family's benefit and my customers are happy too.

Windy Two: Nah - not for me ...

Windy One: Ok, see you around.

i told him you can double your money but to no avail

So true, what's the point in trying to convince someone.  By the way do you write number 2 talks for the sisters.  ;)

OF COURSE IT'S TRUE!! and you'll have to have your pole checked every three months to make sure it's safe, and get a certificate to prove it, and your hose reel will need an MOT certificate, and your pump will have to have its electrics examined and certified safe, and your battery will have to have a guaranteed minimum life, and your brush will have to comply with the latest European directive to have anti-scratch bristles and your gooseneck will have to be made from real geese, otherwise you'll have to call it a 'simulated' gooseneck and your brush jets will have to produce a standard width of water emanating no further than 2.7845 metres from the brush and a man with a green umbrella with the words 'danger - falling water' on it will have to walk no more than three and no less than one pace in front of you while you work.........

............and then the water companies will declare a drought, ban us from using our legally required WFPs and we'll all be out of work.

Right, that's it - I'm hitching a ride on that passing flying pig.

I'm fed up of this place, its always cloudy and I can't stand the sound of cuckoos

I say Leave the trad guys alone, the very last thing I need is for everyone going WFP and carrying a 60 ft pole.
It's competitive enough as it is.

My Mrs is staying downstairs with the baby tonight. I can't sleep properly with the baby in our bed, i'm afraid of rolling on her in the night. Our bed is 6ft wide so we tried her in a Moses basket in between us, but ther little madam won't sleep in it.

Does that mean all the sky dish installers will have to have hammers and screwdrivers attached to a pole ???

not every 1 has the money 2do it :( if it does happpen the gov should help 2wards it :-\

Your having a laugh I am guessing, if you cannot afford £600 you should not be in business sorry if that sounds harsh, but come on I do the same job as you and now what you can earn

Right, I have my £600.00, I am in a very hard water area & need to have A RO & DI setup.

I live in a flat, so I can`t purify the water at home. I have asked family, but they are not prepared to set up a system on their properties.

Please advise further. ???
