Keep a watch on the petrol prices!
« on: March 16, 2010, 04:10:00 pm »
Hi all,

I heard on the news earlier that the price of petrol is going to soar to it`s highest level, & that this does not include a 3p duty that is going to be added on the 1st April. :'(

You could be mistaken for thinking that it is an April fools thing, but it is true, & here is a link to the BBC News story,  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8569525.stm

This is getting really expensive now, so you might want to take this into account. ::)

You might want to share the good news with your customers though when pricing up. :)

I wonder if the HMRC will adjust the tax mileage allowance. ::)

The most I ever paid for diesel was 133.9p during the last spike in prices.  The fill up was well over £100.  A couple of days ago I paid about £92.

Yes and a herd of pigs have just flown past my window.
All this is really annoying me, I paid my mortgage of in 1992 and never owed a penny since.
I am now not only having to put up with the bad payers on my round, I have to pay over all the worlds bad payers for the last 15 years.

They reckon each of us in the UK are going to be paying £23,000 each by 2032, to recover this deficit to the same amount the UK had just before thie recession. >:(

If fuel prices shoot up then I can see chaos happening on the roads, with blockades and rolling road blocks on the motorways etc.
why the hell the government needs to tax us 80p per litre!

It's the bloody greedy oil companies, I heard one of their representatives on the radio today. His excuse was that they have to invest more to get at the more difficult oil pockets.
They have conveniently forgotten about the billions in profits they announced last month.
The government don't care, the higher the price the more VAT they collect.
The price for crude was almost double last year to what it is now, we are being ripped off good style.
