wfp is not just a tool for in the van, to me thats just trad guys covering their ar*%$  or they are losing work to us, whats the point going wfp, if you are a true wfp cleaner like me you never need trad again except insides, fact,

jo not at all mate, both methods are tools of the trade and you have to be good at both, unless you only do outsides and turn down down work where wfp isnt practical

stu the only place i have never found practical is insides  i do shop fronts including signs pubs houses everything wfp i just cant understand why some folk say its only a tool in the van, when it can be used anytime anywhere,

tammy i i know what you mean, when you make the change to wfp stick to it, i did, sell yourself to the custys, h&s ect, everyone has adapted to all the changes around them, gas board entry every 3 months saftey checks ect, they know all this stuff, i have never touched a ladder in 7 years, only trad insides if asked,

ive been cleaning windows since 1989/90. i was trad up until 4months ago.
now dont get me wrong wfp does do a fantastic job & its way faster than trad,
so with out sayin the money is better to.
but for me now there is something missing, & today i realised what it was.
i really miss the trad! after all these years on the windows im now not enjoying it.
before wfp there was a skill involved, now anyone could do it!
& for me that has just taken everything away from it.
the reason i turned to wfp was because i could no longer do ladder work due to back surgery,
either that or sell up. & i didnt want that. just wanted to know if i was alone on this or if any
of you guys felt the same?

Hitman if you love trad better then WFP then there is nothing wrong with that, I did notice that you say that you have been wfp only 4 months  : when i started WFP I hated it all that snaging and moaning and not knowing if the windows will come up good, it took me a good year before I started to get in to it......

Now I love it    But if you still love trad more then do the downstairs trad, As for the rest of trad window cleaners that say they love trad why I am I picking up work from houses with a lot of leaded windows 

trad window cleaners would rather not do them but WFP don't mind

i admit that i some times find wfp boring, but i think this is because i dont concentrate as much,  as i am not up ladders and constantly looking for marks on windows,  so my mind wonders lol

I have to agree, there is something really satisfying with cleaning Trad. I still do a bit trad and enjoy the 2-3 days a month. However I don't miss the ladders. That said for the last 4 years before WFP I had a guy who did all the ladder work.
