When I used to sell for a living in 1996 and used my own car it was a six year old Cavalier SRi and I considered "hiding" it's age with a personal plate so that when I drove into a company car park they wouldn't think I was driving an old shed.
But I soon realised what a daft idea that was and didn't bother. Company directors don't spend all day looking out of the window to see what car the rep turns up in!
When by chance I bought a little Rover 420GSi to replace it I bought it off of a widow who was selling her husband's "baby" and it had his personal plate on it and she wasn't bothered about keeping it and so it came with the car. We have kept it ever since and transfer it on to each car.
It's nothing special and I won't post it here cuz all my enemies will hunt me down (

) and machete my family. But it's similar to A2 DGT so only worth a few hundred.
But I think it's a low level investment like like my long case clock, my edwardian dining chairs and my 30 year old motorbike all of which I can sell so I can scratch a few bob together if I need it to stop my family being put out on the streets and selling matchsticks (or worse) on the street corner!
