Hydro

wfp has only really become acceptable to most wc in the last 2 years, at first 90% of window cleaners were sceptical, only NOW is it becoming the norm.

The FWC have some good guidelines coming soon so i hear.

David

I agree with you that only in the last couple of years has wfp become more acceptable to most window cleaners, this I think is because, window cleaners instead of being afraid that wfp is going to close them down, they now find that it can be of great benefit to them.

I am glad that the FWC has something in the pipeline, but I think I will take this with a large pinch of salt, because for the last 5 years I have heard that the HSE, FWC and all the other letters in the alphabet are going to issue more clarity for the general window cleaner.

How much time does it take to have a meeting, vote on a proposal and action it, take?.

where possible i think water fed pole should be used, the only problem with this is that when people on sites involved in health and safety  see you using a ladder for the odd window they automatically jump to the conclusion that you shouldnt be using it, only today i was stopped by some jobsworth for using a ladder on an internal window it was about 12 feet high and i had the ladder footed i would of done it with a pole but they where really deep frames and very dirty so the ladder would produce the best result, his argument finally came down to what would happen if i fainted or collapsed at the top of the ladder i was very unproffessional and told him where to go but i am sick of people who because they have been on some one day course on height awareness think they can tell me how to do my job, i later so the same bloke and asked for his car keys as it would be unsafe for him to drive home tonight in case he faints i know again this was un proffesional but i would rather loose the job than put up with idiots like him.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt
