Hi Jacko,
I'm based in Swindon and do a fair bit of work out that way.
You could always contact me by e-mail at patriot59@live.co.uk if you need more details than are on my profile.
Cheers
Mark

As has already been confirmed above, it was not I, Alan.
I'm still a Porty user myself, still to be convinced about making the extra big investment for a TM

Hi Mark I think it depends on what kind of work and where you get most of your work.I have the Steamway 9100lx which Dave squeezed into my swb transit and it certainly is an improvement even from the powerflite perfect heat 500 psi machine i had.The problem is sometimes i cant get to some of my Oxford jobs because the parking is a mare in the terraced streets. The reason i chose to make the step was as a one man band and at 52 yrs old i needed to think long term as to how physically able i would be to hump a portable about .I have a Thermadry system for flats i cant get to and i have the www.drycleancarpets.co.uk which gets me some Organic work so the balance is workable.Regards Alan

Know what you mean about the "hump a porty around" statement.
Certainly gets harder each year, particularly for us "oldies" who are now over 50  :o

The problem with spreading the net further is some jobs just arent viable as going to view involves time and diesel whether you get the job or not.Regards Alan
