I arrived at a job today, parked up and started cleaning as normal, did the front of the house then the side and finally got to the back.
I was almost done when the customer came out through a set of sliding doors off the kitchen, good morning says I.  “Do they need cleaning?” was the reply. I thought he was messing with me so I just  laughed.  I am serious he said, “Can you see any dirt on there?” pointing at the door he had just walked out of.
By now I was on the back foot so said, no doubt after a month there will be a layer of dust  “A layer of dust he barked!!!!”
“I have 20/20 eyesight and I cant see any dust!” (he is about 80) “right lets see” with that he got right up close to the door and started writing on it with his finger but hiding what he was doing with his body. “I have written a number in the so called dust, what did I write?”  he says.
By now I was getting annoyed so went up to the glass to look. Nope I cant see a thing I said. “See I told there was nothing on the glass” he said with a glare.
OK my turn, I stuck my finger in the ground to make it muddy then wrote on the glass, can you read that I said.  Yes it says £10 was his reply.
Exactly! That’s how much you owe me, next time if you would like to skip a clean by all means give me a call BEFORE I get to the last window. 
He paid up, and I went next door.

I have had so many "not this time" or "can you leave it" customers this year compared to previous years. I think its the weather. People aren't really bothered about their windows in the mid winter. Plus I think a lot of people are a bit strapped for cash.

i hope you are not going back to clean his windows again otherwise he will think he can speak to anybody just how he feels!

i have had some since xmas,  sending the kids to the door to say thay arnt in and can i come back next week,  got paid off them and dumped them
