Gardiners yellow pole hose
« on: March 03, 2010, 05:39:06 pm »
Who's using it?
I used some for the first time today - tangletastic!
I was tired and irritable but i found it to be dreadful stuff, too stiff and too easy to tangle. Marks: two out of ten.
Also my first day with a new smax pole - I'm knackered it's so tight when new.
New dual trim mono too and although it cleaned well it didn't zip about the glass like my old one 'cos it's got so much more splay.
Maybe I'm getting weaker  :'(

Got some yellow hose but not tried it yet, came with new SL2. I got a new single trim mono which I also haven't used yet but it too has a bigger static splay than my old dual trim superlite brush.

I havent got the Gardiners yellow pole hose I have the streamline hose from polarbrite.
it doesnt kink anywhere near as much as the black hose from Gardiners or the clear stuff on the extel poles.

I was going to order some of this hose for my 44ft facelift and 25ft slx but put off now, is the yellow hose made by gardiners or is it the same stuff everyone else is selling, I cant understand why they keep changing the brushes, ive got 3 different dual trim brushes, and I think the second one was the best.

quailty hose from streamline,as matt say does kink that often.

i also use it as a flow control cause you can pinch it,to stop the flow.

Yellow hose on my SLX and it does tangle but it has been cold for a while so that might be the problem. I'm sure the hot water boys or summer time will give us a more valid opinion.

The black stuff was far softer but would twist and kink. This stuff is  stiffer but seems to snag everything and tangle like a load of yellow spaghetti. Could just be "one of those days"mind. I wasn't happy with any of my kit today. I was wearing a 24hour ecg monitor too which tangled with everything.
Like to see the readings when I realised I'd just sucked out the wrong gutter this morning  :o

The orange hose on my glyder seems fine. Far better to work withn when compared to the brodex hose.

I love the duel trim sl brushes, best ever.  The newer slx's do seem to be a bit stiffer to extend than the first slx, however easily rectified with a twist of a clamp nut.  The yellow pole hose my wife informs me is very stiff and cumbersome, it might be the time of year and low temperatures, but I think I might have to look for yellow hose else where.  The colour is a good idea though.

Simon.

44' Smax. Yes it's fine, just a bigger slx.
I like to have a back up of as many tools as possible. If i were to break my S2 for high work then i have some overlap with the Smax.

I find the black ionics hose the best. That's the only thing i would buy from them.
