i said something like this 3 years ago and it was lynching time. trouble is how much is there to say about window cleaning. there was a post about george and would it run on a particular pda. my reply was "yes" thats all there was to say. the are definate cliques if you disagree with one of them the rest gang up on you.
if you left it to just relevent questions and answers the site would be so slow it would lose interest.

But yes, these non spelling, short hand thinking, short cut multi posters are devaluing the post currency.
There are waves, i suppose, like high points in civilisation such as the renaiscannce with people like leanordo da vinci just one genuis among many, or like when a slumpbuster stumbles upon a forum like this and lights it up.

For the most most part though i find dave, yours, and matts posts okay and don't feel you need to apologise.

Have to agree,you cant ask a question on here anymore without getting a stupid reply, or someone saying how many houses they clean a day or how many thousands they make a week, got some good freinds from off here i talk to regular via facebook, saves on all the bullshi#e replies.

I may be guilty of some of this idle chit chat but I am not guilty of text talk. What you call idle cht chat though is sometimes a bit of banter that should be taken somewhere else but I don't have msn. I will try an conduct some of this elsewhere but what you may class as crap talk may actually be something else to me.

What I do if I open a thread an don't like it is I press the back button an go to something else. As someone else has said , isn't this post along the same lines as what your complaining about.

What are the new people to this forum supposed to do? There are no rules posted on here about what you can or can't post or how you cvan or can't reply, come on ftp relax a little an don't take everything so seriously

Yep, I totally agree with what you are saying here!

It does make me laugh when you have a difference of opinion on here, & then a NEW member miraculously appears that seems to take a very biased side in an instant!

They seem to know so much about previous threads/posts, & all within minutes of joining "incredible"!

It is as if you are meeting someones alter ego, lol.

I visit several forums on a daily basis regarding different subjects and I don't see that this one is any different to the others. Maybe that's how forums are now so my suggestion would be:

Make a post when it's relevant, look through the replies, ignore the crap and take on board answers that appeal to you.   Simples

ive only been going sinse about october brought a traditional kit and had a go
found this site by chance in november
looking through the threads asking questions and buying equipment  its helped me greatly
without it i reckon my business would have never grown as fast as it had
i have always found the members helpful ansd have often pi***d myself laughing at some of the replies
 its good for me
