self-build website
«

Hi Guys and girls!
Finally decided as I am having a quiet period, to get down and build a website.
I have decided I might have a go at building one myself with one of those many companies offering self-builds, but wondered if any of you guys had already done said build and could point me in the direction of a decent web building package!
I prefer to DIY rather than give complete control to someone else (apart from the fact my bank account probably wouldn't stretch to that sort of money anyway).
Cheers!

Hi,
I am a cleaner/ window cleaner and a web designer. I already have all the appropriate software and do reasonable web sites quite cheaply. For £200 I could do you one similar to this
www.re-flection.com
and you would have control, if your interested pm me.

Hi,
it is better if a professionalist design your website.
Luckily my friend is doing that for a living.
The problem was he is in Germany and doesn't speak english very well.
But he did a great job with my web-site:
www.dimemocleaning.co.uk
You have the control all the time with suggestions, requests, information.
He knows all the secrets of webdesigning.
If you are interested I can give you his details to discuss.
P.S.
It costs me £250

I did my own
www.windowcleaner1.co.uk
I got the software free from one of the web magazines . they have templates for you to use you just pick the type of page you want .
Or if you have Microsoft publisher that also does web page templates

Hi Leyla,
Thats very good! , can you use any other web building programs other than serif page plus 8.0, which that was built with? I think £200 for something like that is a very good price, do you sort out the hosting?

Hello,
Yes I've just updated my software to web plus 9, page plus 10 and Impact, i can use others like dreamweaver but dont have the software at the moment. Yes that price includes domain name and registration and i will also submit the site for you to major search engines but at the moment i am reviewing the hosting situation in order to find a cheaper way of doing it, anyway as it stands hosting is costing £25 per year, so it will be less than that.

Hi!
Well in the end I bought a a domain name and package from Lycos for £6.99 per month.........but the templates are rubbish. Yellow Pages peeps can build one for me, for approx same cost as Leyla and spread it over 10 months along with my YP and Yell.com cost. I can upload the site built by YP onto the Lycos site too, so although it works out to be an expensive way to buy my domain name at least I've got one (as the one I wanted originally when I looked a few months back is gobe now..never mind).
The YP site is basic, but very professional and includes 4 pages (which I believe is more than enough). Saves me the time and effort!

I think Perry's site looks fantastic for £250.00. You can see its been designed by someone who really knows what they are doing.
Can you send me his details please?
Cheers
