John Guest Fittings
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:38:10 am »
Hi all,

News last night:  Southern Water will be introducing a sliding scale of charges, more in summer less in winter. (If you believe the 'less' bit... ::) ).....

They are going to compulsorily install meters for all customers.

I need to fit two flow meters into my system for monitoring purposes.

Meters no problem.

Fittings - I need 4 John Guest Female Adapters 1/"2 OD push fit x 1/2" bsp.

These are in the 'Beverages' range, not plumbing so you can't buy them at Screwfix etc or any plumbing supplies.

I can only find one supplier: Abbey Chart Ltd, but they will only sell in packs of 10 at £30.77 inc vat and del.  :o

Anybody know where I can buy them individually.

These are as supplied by RO-man but of course he's gone bust.  I've looked on Purefreedom's site, but nothing like it. Nor on others - GAP/WCW/Cleantech/Gardiners etc.

Just ordered ;) - thanks

Tried Betavalve - they wouldn't accept an order ???  Told me they had a minimum order value but wouldn't say what it was >:(

Told me to try a firm called Indequip - they don't stock them >:( >:(

Never mind - ordered now from Osmotics.

Thanks everyone

Ian I have just bought some great fittings a Halfords They are used on car for air piping and black in colour priced between 2/3 quid and they work beter than John Guest no leaking at all. Halfords are pricy but maybe some other spares shop.
