what web design software

was wondering what you guys use to design ur sites?

i have tried dreamweaver and found it good but im not to familiar with coding and found my site only worked in firefox and not ie or google chrome.

what other software is about and maybe slightly more aimed to novices?

For info on how any web page is written. At the top of the option bars, 'file' 'edit' 'view' 'favourites' and 'help,' click on 'view' then go down and click source. That might help you with what the code does.

I use websphere homepage builder as it gives you 3 views, one screen you can just drag and drop what you want to design straight to the screen, the second shows you the code that is created from what you have put on the first page. The third is a preview of what it looks like on the web.
