Re: have gardiners stopped selling the sl-x 22 ?

Unless of course their really is a new pole, with new clamps etc, not an slx mark five, but a genuine groundbreaker.

In that case it would make sence to keep stumm and sell off all or most of the old stock. In practice this would mean running out of some sizes.......

What a cunning plan.

It can't possibly be true, but i do need two more 22's.It's perhaps best if i wait.

Craig being driven off was before my time on here, but i suspect he really was big enough not to need us.Glynn seemed to get sucked into arguments or be targeted. Alex was different because we both needed each other.

Just my thoughts,

Don’t know the reasons why Craig left, I could assume the same reasons Glynn left.

i remember the incidents very well, it was a farce and both parties involved didnt come out of looking anything more than children

WAs the 22 slx the most popular pole in the slx range. Was the the slx the pole that mage your hands black? If it was ,how long after new did this happen. My question is purely academic, so dont get carried away.

I think the custom gained from CIU is a tiny minority of gardiners overall business!

He did right to leave this forum, it's got idiots like EWAN who believe their own oral garbage! ;D

Gardiners export all over the world, bet Alex is sat weeing himself that slumpbuster thinks CIU is his biggest retail outlet & best marketing asset! ;D ;D ;D

Man, you couldn't write this stuff ;D ;D ;D ;D
I don't belive Gardiners are some powerhouse retailer shipping all over the place in huge quantities. He can't even keep enough stock on the shelves to service orders as they come in. I had to wait over a month to order my SLX a year ago. Nothing has changed a year on and people are still waiting for months on end for stock to come in.

They are changing manufacturers again and as Matt said are expecting a new delivery.
I wonder if it is anything to do with the wear issues. If it is we will never know anyway, he would have to replace so many crappy worn sections instead of charging £100.00 a pop.

There does seem to be anecdotal evidence that the mk1 SLX is wearing much better than the mk2 (changed manufacturer after mk1 afaik).

Had a look on gardiners site and can't find the sl-x 22ft or anything around that size.

Have they stopped selling them altogether or is it just temp till they get new stock in that it isn't listed on their site ?

why dont you call them ?     you would get your answer

I will, but seen as though they weren't open when I needed a rough idea, that's why I asked here ;)

Reference a cunning plan....

A lot of poles such as the glider will be sold at windex and maybe a few we haven't heard of yet.It will be a big payday for a lot of the suppliers and will possibly define the coming year for them.

If i had a new pole and wanted to launch with impact but very little cost, i'd pop it on here unannouced the week before windex and make sure everyone was talking about me and not the others.

I'm wondering if there have been batch problems with the slx.

I've had my new type slx 25 since last August.  No noticeable wear and no black hands - not even a slight trace.  It's the only pole I use too.  I may not do the amount of work that some of you do but that's still a whole load of daily use since August.
