We put a 400lt in one.  Lengthwise it went in OK.  Full up it was a bit near the Gross Vehicle Weight of the vehicle so we had to watch what else we put in.  A few months later some uninsured Latvians ran into it, so end of problem ::)

i just got rid of an astra, had to swap between a 250 flat and a 125 upright if i used the rear seat, when seats was up there was room for reel, pole, di vessel, battery  tank and box of crap   i would stick to a 300 ltr, i only got rid as i knackered head gasket and clutch,

I use an astra van but only with a trolley. I considered putting a van mount in there but decided against it due to the limited space. If you must have a van mounted system I'd change vans.

Im using a 250l in my astra van and it lasts me all day. Its a layflat tank so i store a fold up ladder on top off it.

Trad gear, tool box, hose reel and battery all by the back door of the van behind the tank.

Only way i could see a bigger take working without wasting space in the van is to have a taller tank as the width of my tank is the width of the wheel arches. lol

I have a 350 flat tank

I have trad stuff down the side of the tank sitting in a cut out of the wheel arch boxs (they go all the way along).

Works pretty well Slx slides down the side on of the wheel arch boxes too.

Van handles well when water tank is full.

Sorry, I stand corrected.

I think it's a bit misleading, though, as that tank is at least half as high again as our flat 400lt's

Sort of defeats the object of keeping the centre of gravity low by having a 'lay flat' tank.

That is the flat version. The upright version sits 75 cm high if i remember.

I do admit the picture looks like it is high, but in reality its not too bad.

The 400 worked out to fit perfectly in all the back so everything would have to be stored ontop of that.

I find the van handles pretty well when full. Other than it smokes that little more!
