caravan sites
« on: February 15, 2010, 09:20:01 pm »
hi all i was just asking does anybody on here clean any caravan sites? if so what are the rules/regs about getting the work?
the reason i ask is that my parents live on a site on the coast and it has around 1800 vans and the previous cleaner has moved away leaving them without a cleaner but my parents reckon ill need some permission/permit to work on site any ideas?

Go and do your parents windows and see if anyone else ask you to do theirs.

most caravan parks owners dont give a care in the world,  my misses worked at one last year and there idea of cleaning the out side was to walk around with the fire hose blasting everything they could,  once a year

I'm on my way there now!  ;D

Seriously, why not get your parents to contact the site manager about getting their caravan cleaned. They could put your name forward as their preferred cleaner and he might well ask you to do any cleaning that is required. Would it be regular or seasonal work? Would the work be one-offs?

Unless it's written into their lease agreement for their pitch that they have to use the site's contractors, owners will be perfectly entitled to employ anyone they choose.

The only possible objection could be that the site is private property, so any cleaner would have to have permission from the owners for access.

Ask your parents to get in touch with the manager to ask about cleaning their caravan. They could ask the manager to arrange for a quote from the non-existent cleaners. When a month or two has gone by and he hasn't seen anyone, then offer your services again. I think you might have to be patient on this one. Good luck!  :)

we went to haven caravan site at cleethorpes (thorp park or summit)last year and it was all right, nice caravan and all, but the windows were in a right old state......could be a buck or two for the local squeegee boys.....dunno if cleethorpes has any....they might have to travel from grimsby or even as from far away as hull 8)
